A healthcare LMS differs from a standard learning management system in one fundamental way: it needs to prove that learning happened – not just that watching happened.
Mandatory training, hygiene, device onboarding, emergency procedures: in every one of these cases, the proof carries a regulatory consequence. A progress bar isn't evidence of that. It takes testing.
Standard learning platforms are built for corporate training. They lack what has to be a given in a hospital: CME capability, accreditation logic, the connection to the SIWF, and separation by profession, department and site.
The most effective option: your own experts. Internal authors cover mandatory training, CME/CPD and onboarding – including exams, quizzes and knowledge tests. Add honorarium models and it becomes a self-sustaining cycle.
A hospital LMS isn't a video portal with a login. It's a proof-of-completion system that happens to teach along the way – inside your own container.
