Palli-Forum
Professor Mestres was a clinical professor in Barcelona for many years, and also worked at the University Hospital Zurich, the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and most recently at the University of the Free State, South Africa. He is the author of over 1000 publications on cardiac surgery, a member of numerous editorial boards of cardiac surgery journals, contributed to the development of the current European guidelines for valvular heart disease, and has been one of Europe's leading cardiac surgeons for many years.
